人工智能時代的運籌學(xué)與管理科學(xué)

This talk aims to present several operations research and management science (ORMS) problems, models, and algorithms for AI such as the LLM training and inferencing. In particular, we describe how classic management models/theories, such as online resource allocation, may be applied to accelerate and improve the Training/Inferencing algorithms that are popularly used in LLMs. On the other hand, we show breakthroughs in classical Optimization (LP and SDP) Solver development aided by AI-related techniques and their implementations on GPU.

主講人簡介：

葉蔭宇(Yinyu Ye), 原斯坦福大學(xué)李國鼎講席教授，現(xiàn)任上海交通大學(xué), 上海數(shù)學(xué)交叉科學(xué)院，香港中文大學(xué)深圳和香港科技大學(xué)訪問講席教授。他的主要研究方向為連續(xù)和離散優(yōu)化，數(shù)據(jù)科學(xué)及應(yīng)用，數(shù)字算法設(shè)計及分析，算法博弈及市場均衡，運籌及管理科學(xué)等; 他和其他科學(xué)家開創(chuàng)了內(nèi)點優(yōu)化算法，錐規(guī)劃模型，分布式魯棒優(yōu)化，在線線性規(guī)劃和學(xué)習(xí)，強化學(xué)習(xí)和馬可夫過程及非凸優(yōu)化算法分析等。他與學(xué)生多次榮獲重要學(xué)術(shù)獎項，包括：2006 INFORMS Farkas Prize (首位獲獎?wù)?，2009年約翰·馮·洛伊曼理論獎，國際數(shù)學(xué)規(guī)劃2012 Tseng Lectureship Prize (首位獲獎?wù)呙咳?，2014美國工業(yè)及應(yīng)用數(shù)學(xué)學(xué)會優(yōu)化獎 (每三年)，2025 Constantin Caratheodory Prize of the全局優(yōu)化 Congress。
