Food Inspection, Disclosure and Consumer Reviews

主講人 : Qihong Liu 教授

This lecture explores how platform-driven disclosure of regulatory information and food inspection outcomes interacts with consumer reviews. We exploit this platform-level disclosure change to implement a difference-in-differences design comparing restaurants on Yelp (treated) with control groups before and after disclosure.



主講人簡(jiǎn)介:

Qihong LIU is President's Associate Second Century Presidential Professor, Director of Graduate Studies, and Professor of Economics at the University of Oklahoma. His main research areas are Industrial Organization and Applied Microeconomics,  with current research focusing on platforms, the digital economy, and pricing. His research has been published in journals including Strategic Management Journal, Marketing Science ,and Management Science.
